Hal Bryant’s art and photography are the result of a journey of observation that began over 40 years ago. He loves to explore, driving to see what is around the next bend, getting out and roaming the landscape, abandoned buildings, or taking in the general view.
Hal is always on the lookout for variety of subjects. While it may be nature’s beauty, he frequently enjoys documenting the passage of time, and its effect on all things. Sometimes that might even include the mystical and mysterious. But in many cases, he is searching for a simple overlooked subject, in which he can discover some beauty to share with the viewer.
Hal Bryant lives in Shelby, NC. He has a B.A. from Gardner-Webb University and a M.A. in Art Studio from the University of South Carolina.
The hidden treasures of nature are what interests Ellen Devenny. Her photographs are successful in pulling the viewer into a hidden world, filled with beauty, wonder and mystery.
She believes there are great photographs waiting to be found everywhere, every day. But they are almost never easily found. It takes an artist’s vision and the tenacity of a hunter to find a great photograph in nature. Whether it’s a lonesome tree on an isolated hill, majestic mountains, or close-up views of flowers, Ellen hopes you’ll experience the same sense of wonder as she does.
Ellen Devenny lives in Kings Mountain, N.C. and has been creating photographs for over a decade.Cost: Free
