We will learn the art, techniques and history of making Barn Quilts.  You’ll choose one of three quilt patterns; learn to layout the pattern on your board, draw and paint the pattern.  You’ll leave with your own Barn Quilt ready for hanging and starting a quilt trail in your neighborhood!

Supplies provided by instructor include 2’x2’ plywood primed on all sides, paints, lunch and beverage for everyone. One student registered per panel, please.

Amy Drum fell in love with the barn quilt patterns as she traveled the roads of North Carolina’s High Country and the Blue Ridge Parkway.  She came home with the vision of developing a trail in Cliffside that would bring people to the once thriving mill village.  She has since painted more than 34 quilt squares in Cliffside and 18 in other areas of the region.  Amy, her husband and their three small children live in Kings Mountain, NC.
