GWU School of Performing & Visual Arts Director of Opera Theatre, Megan McCauley, will join Ela Weisberg (Holocaust survivor), as she performs/sings music from 3 different composers who were killed in the Holocaust.

Megan met Ela three years ago when she was singing some of this music at the University of Kentucky for a production of the children’s opera “Brundibar” by Hans Krasa. Ela came to speak there as she does in many places around the world, traveling to different productions of the opera she starred in as a child. Now she travels everywhere to teach the children in the opera and to remind them of all her friends who died. ¬†When Ela and Megan met, they bonded over the music.
This will be a powerful event.
